Leading companies are already using renewable energy certificates and PPAs to address their Scope 2 emissions. Now, the conversation is shifting towards carbon neutrality, with more and more companies looking to move beyond Scope 2 and achieve ambitious targets around Scope 1 and Scope 3 reductions. Historically, carbon offsets have played a crucial role in achieving these goals. But what about today? There is disagreement in the market and among NGOs about the role and value of carbon offsets, yet corporate demand for these environmental commodities has never been higher.

 

In this session, attendees will hear from companies that are using offsets, learn more about the considerations when sourcing offsets, and discuss the role that offsets can—and should?—play in a portfolio approach to carbon neutrality.
