Mariana Heinrich leads WBCSD’s work in the energy portfolio, facilitating global coalitions of business and external stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world by implementing innovative business models in the energy industry. She supports companies in their development of sustainable energy strategies, enhancing the business case for new technology solutions and guiding utilities in their application of key sustainability concepts.

Mariana joined WBCSD in 2015 from Pöyry Management Consulting, where she was a Senior Consultant for seven years. In this role she led projects in the electricity sector, focusing on integrating renewables into electricity markets, including market modeling and advising clients on investment decisions. Mariana has a Master’s degree in Economics from the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel
